It was recently discovered that Freddy has a terminal illness and I wanted to put this up now, while he’s still with us.
Update: R.I.P Freddy, 6-29-2012. Miss him….
* Tricubica: A poetic form
that requires 3 lines, each with 3 syllables – invented solely for the purpose of turning this bit of prose into a “poem”.

Love it, Betty
. Made me laugh!
Glad it made you laugh, Angela. Photo was a lucky shot, taken just when he meowed.
Indeed this is true…every cat is quite unique.
And such great companions too. Thanks for reading, Charles.
Reblogged this on grammakrackers and commented:
It just goes without sayin’…
To everyone: Gramma Krackers’ blog is still under construction but feel free to visit!
Just excuse the mess!
Betty, your wonderful Freddie look exactly like my cat “Harley”, total twins! I love the color and sure that Freddie is a “Love”…!
Linda, thank you – I’d enjoy seeing a picture of Harley. Yes, Freddy is a sweetie.
You have won the “trifecta” of my racing heart with this little poem about our dear feline family members, Betty! Hooray!
Granbee, it’s good to see you! I’m glad you like kitties too.
Sad to hear
He is ill;
We just met.
This is true.
Thank you, Ben,
for your note.
Awww…I love it, Betty, he is adorable, but sorry to hear he’s very ill…xo
And thank you for introducing, yet, another poem form I’m unaware of…
Thank you, Lauren. I know that you know how hard it is to lose a pet. The hardest part is figuring out when it’s time…. with Freddy it’s one day at a time, right now.
I feel for you, Betty, as I thought we would be in your same situation with Lucky…but, she left on her own, unfortunately, when we were least expecting. My prayers are with you~xx
Absolute truth in 9 short one-syllable words. How did Freddy get his name?
Hi Lindy Lee – Freddy was named by my younger son (his previous owner) when he was a tiny kitten. He’s now 13 and came to live with us 8 years ago.
Oh, this is Wonderful, Betty–love the pic of Freddy, and the tricubica!! Praying peaceful prayers for Freddy, and you. God bless you.
Thanks very much, Caddo. Am feeling pretty bummed right now – I think Freddy just has a day or two left in him. It’s going to be hard….
Tribute to you and tribute to Freddy!
Thank you, Willow…
Hi Betty, so sad he is dying, best wishes.
Thanks, Ina – I appreciate that.
This is true. There is no thing as just a cat.
Freddy looks so much like my Gabby…or visa versa, perhaps (my guy is 9). Cats are always so special…each in their own way. They certainly make my life full of special moments every day!
I am so sorry that Freddy is ill, and I send him healing to defy the prognosis for a long while. XO
Thank you so much, Diane. Sorry to say, Freddy died on June 29th (only 4 days after posting this). We hoped he had a few more weeks, but it was a very fast growing cancer. It’s hard to get used to not having him around – as I know you can imagine. Give your Gabby a special pat from me tonight.
I am so sorry, Betty … and that I was behind with your posts … your news went right to my heart. I have loved and lost many cats and each time it is so difficult, each has its special place in our lives. Gabby and I send hugs of condolences and much love. Diane
Diane, thank you – I appreciate that a lot.
