Oh Muse,
into our empty lungs
blow deep
the lucid sky.
Inside these brimming
unsung hearts
pump earth
and trees and fire.
Smooth the scars
that line our veins,
infuse them
with the sea,
till we inhale
your playful light
and breathe out
poetry.

Thank you again, Martin!
Wordpress is acting strangely – I was already “following” you but it suddenly showed I wasn’t, so I resubscribed. And now WP is showing that your blog is “unavailable”. I’ll keep checking – must be a temporary glitch.

It’s no glitch Betty, I deleted my poetry site, Wordshelf. I wasn’t happy.

Alas, Martin, I was enjoying it! Glad I found your other blog – in whatever form, I think you have lots to say. Your spirit shines through your words very nicely.

Betty, I have found I CANNOT “breathe out poetry” without “inhal(ing) PLAYFUL light”. I find that I must keep the act of absorbing the light very light-hearted, indeed, lest it be smothered into darkness. Thank for another lovely post.
