Polish smooth
your cutting rocks
my jagged stones
and at dawn
we’ll find each other
garnished
in the fan dance
of prisms.

Wonderfully fabulous metaphor for how to love the beloved so as to shine more colorful arrays upon one’s own life! Polishing will do the trick!

This is marvelous, Betty–I’ve been fascinated by prisms since childhood! Do you happen to know where they’re sold, in the event I want to give myself a present?? (Don’t say, “go online”–I don’t do well with online shopping…) Much love to you–have a blessed evening!

Caddo, I’ve always loved prisms too! (Wouldn’t you know? 🙂 ) I love that scene in “Pollyanna” where she hangs prisms all over the wall and there are rainbows on all the walls. Not sure where to buy them – will have to do some research. (It’s something I’ve always wanted too!)

Oh wow, I’ve never seen “Pollyanna”–but will see if I can get it through the library–as I’d watch it just for the scene you described! And you’re right–no surprise that we both love prisms!! Have a blessed day, my friend.

Caddo, you MUST see Pollyanna! I first saw it in 4th or 5th grade. Every now and then they show it on t.v. (Hallmark channel or PBS) and it’s still fun to see. Haley Mills plays Pollyanna. Hopefully it’s still available at the library. That prism scene has stayed with me all these years!
