A little weird, but maybe this will resonate on an intuitive level.
(From 1995, and related to previous poem.)
.
In the red room
we awoke
from spectral dreams.
.
In the orange room
we opened up
the blinds.
.
In the yellow room
we saw
past the horizon.
.
In the green room
we balanced
on our toes.
.
In the blue room
we flew
out the window.
.
In the indigo room
we landed
on the sun.
.
In the violet room
we slept
in mother-of-pearl.
.
In the red room
we awoke
from spectral dreams.

Thank you, Christine – I’m so glad you liked it (and appreciated the connection to the previous poem as well).
Hope your weekend has been a good one for you.
(Have the petals all fallen off the rose yet? I still hold that picture from your blog in my mind. Thankfully before we know it, spring will be here again with fresh blooms. 🙂 )

Sadly Betty, yes; there are one or two petals clinging but they are brown and soggy. How lovely that I still have the photo to look at and the knowledge that a new growth will appear in the not too distant future. 😊 Xxx

Not to be misunderstood, Ben – I meant only a desire to stop making the same old mistakes. And then – explore and savor the NEXT octave. 🙂

Thank you, Ben – I always appreciate your encouragement – and insight. 🙂 (Alas, it was I who misunderstood. Remember that old saying, “Stop the world, I wanna get off!” There are times when I DO feel like that.)
