Stunning winter photograph! Really serene! The words capture the first snowfall so well! Photo and writing are both wonderful! Thanks much for sharing!

The same to you, Ben – and a happy Winter’s Solstice too. Not sure I’ll be on WP much until after the holidays – so very much to catch up with!!

Same here – mushy slushy tonight – probably gone by morning. It was sure pretty this mornin’ though!

I think it was 3am when I last looked out the window and saw it snowing–now it’s probably all ice, so I’m not leaving my nice clean apt.

Lovely Betty, both haiku and photo. I wish we could have a white Chriatmas; its not going to happen here! We usually get it when we are all fed up of winter at the end of February! 😊
Love and hugs

Your “First Snow” is representative of haiku purpose, much meaning in few words…

I can remember those first snows as a child…the way it damped all sounds.

Just lovely, Betty! We have had more ‘hushing’ snow today! That is the thing I really love about the winter – at least out here, in the country. It can be so quiet. I hope your Christmas was warm and wonderful. Sending my wishes for the New Year to be abundant in blessings for you and yours. XO ♥
