.
When the veil lifts
we see the bones
of the universe
and it doesn’t matter
the color of an eye,
an unread poem,
a broken thread,
the forgotten name.
.
And everything matters –
the curve of a smile,
a loaf of bread shared,
the feather of a crow,
each dandelion spared.
What matters is the fingerprint
we leave on the flame
before we’re dowsed with slumber
and it all begins again.

Ah yes – there’s nothing like a garden to lift us out of the winter doldrums. Sending hugs!

Ah, yes. Yes! The bones of the universe–and they are so large and so small that they turn your perception inside out
and it doesn’t matter
the color of the eye,
the unread poem,
the broken thread,
the forgotten name.
But, at the same time, everything matters
the curve of a smile,
a loaf of bread shared,
the feather of a crow,
each dandelion spared.
But what really matters is
…the fingerprint
we leave on the flame
and Betty Hayes Albright’s poetry (what a magnificent pair of lines) before reason colds our thinking and the whole process of seeing starts all over again.
Yes! Yes!
