Very cleverly written Betty! I am passionate about bees. I have taken lots of photos of them inside flowers and they are fascinating to watch close up. I will email you my favourite bee photo of the sumner; it took 135 goes to get one satisfactory shot, mainly because my hand is now very weak and holding the camera and clicking doesn’t come easy. So I love this poem, it resonates within me! Thank you! Xxx

Christine, thank you once again! So glad you liked this one.
I too have become more and more passionate about bees – especially since honey bees are fighting to survive – and I’m sure it’s due to a build-up of pesticides, though some might disagree. The bumbles are especially fun to watch – actually sorta cute. 🙂 (Not so crazy about the yellow-jackets, as I’ve been stung many times and they can be aggressive.)
I’ll look forward to seeing the photo of your favorite bee pic. It’s amazing that you can take such beautiful, sharp, clear photos with a weakened hand. It’s hard enough (for me at least) to get a photo using two “strong” hands.

I totally agree about pesticides. I saw a programme fhe other week on BBC about bees called Hive Alive, so very fascinating. Their wings beat at about 200 or more times a second! Almost impossible to believe! And the way they communicate by ” dancing” is amazing. Ive been taking part in the great British bee count watching and recording how many and different types Ive seen in the garden. I could go on about bees all day! Ive even managed to write a sonnet about them! Xx

Too bad we can’t get together and chat – about bees! They fascinate me too, their dance-communication, and group intelligence. (I just posted yet another haiku, and found a photo taken 3 years ago of a bumblebee. I’d forgotten how much better my camera worked then – now my macro lens won’t focus.)
Will look for your sonnet!

The cameras today are so good. I have to keep mine on autofocus and let it do all the work for me as my hands are too weak to fiddle with focussing manually. That, coupled with the macro lens makes for pretty good photos despite me!! 😊 xx
