Alas…here…in SoCal no grass is growing…it’s all brown from the drought.

Charlie, I hope you get some rain down there soon, but not all at once where it causes other problems. We’re under an official drought in WA also but nothing as bad as yours. (Snow pack in our mountains was only 13% of normal – which means not enough water supply during the coming summer. It mostly affects the eastern half of the state where farmers will have to cut back on their crops.)
Climate change is real, though unfortunately there are too many who still think it’s a myth – who politicize it. Augh! Don’t get me started.
Take care, my friend – may the rains come, and may there be balance in our climate again some day.
