Indeed, an important point. It has never made sense to me how anyone could call something in nature “illegal”? (Of course, when writing my haiku I was thinking more about dandelions and buttercups. 🙂 )

I liked your original piece, Betty. t set me thinking (as poetry is meant to do) and haiku often have more to say than simple description. Currently there is rather too much unacknowledged racism and talk of illegal immigration for my taste.

Indeed true, Ben. It’s a sad state that humanity is in. We’re supposed to evolve, not devolve. But that’s what we’re doing with all the hatred and violence in the world.
