.
Last night
I saw your moon
silver,
waxing full
between the clouds,
its hug
wrapping me to sleep.
.
This morning
I saw your sunrise
coral,
spreading low
through the clouds,
its breath
flushing over my cheeks.
.
Tonight
I see your sunset
violet,
easing down
below the clouds,
its rays
combing out my dreams.

Thank you! (I tried to rewrite this into three Shadorma’s but wouldn’t work.)

Absolutely gorgeous imagery. It’s difficult to write words that are equal to the beauty of clouds, but this poem met the challenge.

You wouldn’t want to be like me, Willow. That was written long ago in a peaceful moment, but like all of us there are ups and downs 🙃😌 .

This is always good technique, to develop a sequence based upon a phrase, but to deepen each stanza as the poem goes along. Good work.

Thank you again, Tom. When writing this 35 years ago I didn’t know it was a technique per se. (Was just having fun playing with words, mirroring them in a pattern. Glad you pointed that out. 🙂 )

It’s just as life is when full of wonder. Except you make it believable with your dreamers heart.

Aww, thanks Audrey. “Dreamers heart” – I think we have that in common. 😊

Thank you again for going back and finding this. (It’s a 35 year old poem that had become relevant to me again.)
