.
I’ll see you
in each color
of the rainbow
inside a bubble
foaming
on the sea.
.
I’ll find you
on the wing
of a hummingbird
or at the bottom
of a spot
of tea.
.
I’ll meet you
in the middle
of an Oreo
somewhere
on the edges
of a rhyme.
.
I’ll love you
at the tip
of the hour hand
resting
on the backside
of time.

Thank you to “Own Shadow“, for reading through my archives and suggesting it be put up again.
Such a delightful verse.

A lovely poem Betty. Takes you to a spot in time somewhere beyond our senses.

Thank you, Renee. I think there’s a lot to explore in that spot. 🙂

Thanks very much, Kim! Happy Thursday sweets back to you. 🙂 (These days I prefer the homemade variety, but Oreo’s are always good, aren’t they? 😉 )

Oh, this is wonderful, Betty! I love the reference to oreos (for obvious reasons) and to hummingbirds, which reminds me of my mom. Just lovely…
Have a good day and sending holiday hugs! 🤶🎅🎄😊💕

Thanks, Lauren – I’m glad there was a reference that made you think of your mom. 🙂 Hope you’ve had a good day.
Things are gearing up towards the weekend now – busy busy, all of a sudden! (Am typing this on my computer so no emoji’s – alas! Just the standard smiles. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Sending hugs! )

Betty, this is one of those charming poems that delights kids and charms adults. Love always finds you, doesn’t it? I mean, in the middle of an Oreo – of course!

I graduated from high school in 1981, and wrote many poems, but they did not sound like this.
Humminbirds, tea, Oreos….and you have tied them together!

Thanks for your very nice comment. (In ’81 I was…34. 😳 You were probably writing more interesting poetry at 34 than I was, judging from your current work!)

Oh you’re so sweet–well, I tried, and there are a few that I hold dear. When I left home at 18, I threw them all in the trash, and my mother took them out of the trash and saved them for me!
There were 10 years of no writing from 1990-2000. Then something just opened the floodgates.
But I have written too much here haha

Bless your mom for saving your poetry! And so glad you started writing again after a ten year gap. It’s interesting the way our muses come and go…and no you haven’t written too much in your comment! 🙂 I think we poets inspire each other when we connect and share.
