Hello, my friends,
is anyone there?
I need someone
to come repair
my shattered biosphere.
The ocean’s clogged
with plastic sludge,
the beach is cut
with broken glass,
my raging fever
melts the ice
and all the while
my insides churn
as ancient trees
are turned to tables,
wild creatures
robbed of fur
their heads mounted
on walls.
I sob aloud
and strain to breathe
the muddy air
my tears are lava
running through your villages
I’ve lost my balance
can’t control
the atmosphere
it spins and bawls
across the plains
I quake apart
your buildings fall
the dust roars through
our sacred land
my voice grows hoarse
but still I call out
desperately –
Can you hear me now?

Too many people waiting for someone else to do the job and not doing anything but continuing to destroy and waste resources. Earth is all we have but she must always belong to the future.

Mother earth do badly treated
All your pleas Fallon deaf ears
Your treasures squandered and depleted
Too late, they all ignore your tears.💜💜

It is reaching that point of desperation for sure. Our national leaders are deaf, so we just have to keep doing locally the best we can. (K)

So true, Kerfe – thankfully many industries and corporations are already taking action voluntarily – along with cities maintaining recycling programs. Hopefully we can turn things around, with or without the support of government. 🌎❤️

This is so powerful and true, Betty, written with such intensity and urgency felt while reading. If only we all did our small part, I have to believe it would make a difference. Sending hugs, my friend…❤🌱🌹🌳🌺

Thank you, Ben. I wish the problem (crisis) didn’t exist and that such poems never needed to be written. 🌎😢🥀

Wonderfully written Betty.. Indeed our Earth Mother is in need of everyone’s help and awareness to her state of Being..
If we only all looked at our own consumer habits and were mindful of how we affect Nature.. It would go along way to helping improve our environment..
It all begins with each of us..
love and Blessings and thank you… ❤

Don’t ever apologize. friends for life, not just through the easy times. I think of you often, hoping this difficult period will lessen. Did you ever try the Vit C idea? I am up to 3000mg a day using the new one I found that doesn’t make me ill – and it seems to be beating back the worst of the EBV I’m no longer having most of the symptoms aside the nausea which is lessened to around 3/10 most days. I feel lucky. I would love to help you if one thing I suggested would help you in any way it would make me feel I had eased your suffering and that would be so worthwhile to me (and hopefully you). Prayers and love sent your way every day my beautiful friend with the best cheekbones and soul in the world

Thank you for your understanding, and such kind words, Candice. 😊 No, still haven’t had a chance to look for that particular kind of Vitamin C. It’s encouraging to hear how much it’s helped you and I’ll renew my efforts. Am just glad YOU are feeling so much better! Will try very hard to get an email sent to you soon, dear friend.

I love this beautiful and heartbreaking poem, Betty. It is on point with what Mother Earth is saying to us now. We are sad creatures taking the earth for granted. I gather you don’t feel well, I send positive thoughts your way and hope you are better soon. xx
