Thank you, Lauren – and you’re right about our thorns. No such thing as perfection. π πΉπ

I so miss berries. I mean, I grow pineapples, for heaven’s sake – whites are like nectar of the gods, yellows too sweet for me. Giant papayas that none of you will ever experience on the mainland, as they are local gmo-free varieties. Citrus to die for. But I miss the berries, I do. β€

This is so lovely. I remember watching the blackberries bloom in our garden when I was a child. I couldn’t wait for them to drop so the berries would appear. I love blackberries still but have a greater appreciation for the blooms.

Same here. I never even paid attention to the flowers when I was a kid. They’re actually quite beautiful!
Thank you so much for your comment. π

Every relationship has its thorny moments when you can barely stand to be in the same room with the person you love – but then you realize you do love them and so you go back to be with them. You said so much in 17 syllables.

Sharon, thanks again for your kind words! And you’re right about the metaphorical meaning – so very true.

Yes. Sometimes you just have to accept the thorns as simply part of the package.
