.
.
It’s almost too much –
the bee in the center of the rose,
.
the hummer mating
with the hot pink flute of August,
.
puffs of clover in the honey
tied up in a bow
.
with golden mari
and the lion’s yellow dandi.
.
Oh glorious!
I must sometimes turn away –
.
no wonder that the fly
needs a thousand eyes.

Second last day of winter here – well, what we call winter, I had never seen snow at close quarters until I went to Ireland. Nicely written Betty.

Hadn’t thought of that as a rationale for the fly’s eyes.

Oh how this made me smile Betty, I’m sitting outside watching the bees and listening to the poplars shimmer in the breeze. Wow I think I just made a poem! You are inspiring.

Such a lovely poem, Betty. One of those humble, sensuous moments when we lose ourselves in nature, with maybe a poem taking root…
Our sycamore samaras are spinning already here in Wales, an autumnal whiff faintly on the breeze…
Have a good Sunday and take care,
Paul

Thank you, Paul. Fall is definitely in the air here too, though today is summery again. Beautiful blue skies!
Hope you have a great week coming up.
You take care as well,

It’s all about sex, isn’t it, from a bug’s eye – Or maybe for family viewing, it’s all about preserving our species, which ever one it may be. What a delightful poem this is – made me look out the window to see if I could spot a bee, butterfly, or bird (hummer) – well, not today.
Happy Labor Day to you – you’re obviously working too hard this weekend.
Giggles. And thanks for lending a few to me.
