.
O vernal sun,
come sweeten the rain
as you plant your secrets
under thick moss —
.
lend the forsythia
pots of gold
and warm the stones
that circle our garden —
.
let poppies buzz
and sword ferns uncurl
as Earth becomes great
with tender.

Tender, yes. Love and peace right back to you! 🐝🐛🦎🦅🦇🌳🌿🍃❤️

What a lyrical way to express the Earth’s spring bounty – “great with tender.” The true poet in you, Betty.

‘Lend the forsythia pots of gold’ – my favorite line! Lovely and I will cling to this as I look outside and see a snow covered back yard. We are making gains but spring is not yet in full swing in my neck of the woods.

Thank you, Molly – I hope your snow melts soon. Meanwhile, stay warm. 🌞

A prayer we can all identify with. I like the hint of Stonehenge and pagan rites.

I’ve been away to Scotland for a few days with a good friend and meeting up with another. The three of us have not been all together since the mid eighties and a good time was had by all. 🙂

You don’t see much forsythia around here, but I associate it so much with the springs of my childhood. That yellow always makes me smile. (K)

Me too, Kerfe – it’s always the first brilliant flowering of spring here. 🙂
