A little less red
in the flower bed,
a little more gold on the tree –

the mantis is praying,
the skyline is fraying
and Sol slips another degree.

Thanks, Willow! It’s definitely in the air, though a heatwave is expected this coming week. Hope you’ve had a good weekend! ❤️❤️

We have a heatwave here it’s been 30c degrees which is hot for here! Hope you don’t get too hot 💜💜. Our youngest son ,wife and their two boys turned up yesterday unexpectedly,we had hubby’s mum round too , she is 99yrs and our grandsons are 5yrs and 2yrs so we had the youngest and the oldest members of our family together 💜😃😃

Sounds like you had a delightful day with family, Willow! Grandkids especially make any day enjoyable. 🤗
Hope you’re surviving the heat! We’re expecting temps in the mid 90’s Fahrenheit this week. (About 35 Celsius?) We’re not used to that either. Hoping for some rain soon!

Excellent observations.. The nights are drawing in, though we seem to be having an Indian Summer here in the UK right now..
Loved your poem Betty ❤

Glad you liked it, Sue. We’re expecting a heatwave this week too, so I guess summer’s not over yet. 😊❤️

Tiny degree by tiny degree it slips away from us, from our grandchildren. And we let it, we let it.
