.
Frosty colors
fall like snow
through trees —
precipitations of sun
filling the tangle
of briar and wood.
.
A lone sprite sings
her winter song
as doves wing overhead,
their tail feathers spread
to polish the lens
of the sky.

The language your write with is sometimes so original, Betty, that it creates images we would not have imagined left to our own devices. What a wonderful poem! Happy solstice. Merry Christmas.

Another beautiful poem Betty, no snow here just rain, rain and more rain with flood alerts galore…
Have a wonderful Christmas Betty, and all the best for 2020 and beyond..
Take care of yourself..

Thank you, Sue. No snow here either but lots of rain. And flood warnings! Sounds like we’re experiencing the same weather system!
You take care also, and have a happy Christmas. Love back to you. β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ

You certainly like the winter more than I do! Yet I appreciate it’s a sacred time and your words capture that perfectly.

Thank you! π It’s not so much that I like winter (except for the rare snowfall) but that “the light” will soon be returning and we can look forward to spring again. Counting the days! π
Wishing you all the best for the holidays!
