.
It doesn’t seem
that long ago
you came
but could not stay.
.
Our paths were crossed
and time got lost –
seems only yesterday, and yet
.
the moon still beams
and waxes full
above the sea
beyond the knoll
.
where we grew young
so long ago
when Eros came to play.

Thanks, Renee. Weather not too bad at the moment here. Just cold! Hope it’s calm up your way. Take care, and you also stay warm! 🙂

Weather is up and down but that is WA Winter for you. Cold and yes trying to stay warm. Just getting over a cold my great grandbabies shared with me but other than that, I am alright. 🙂

A nostalgic poem ending on a beautiful note. I’ll use a cliche here and say that it’s moments and experiences that make life. Hell, they even make the writer. Wonderful Betty!

Liking this a lot, Betty. The perfect title or the perfect text? It seems both married to one another.

Glad you like it, Ben. I know “wist” isn’t actually a word but nothing else would do. 🙂

I love your word, “wist” – it spoke to me of my childhood.

Ah, to be so young as to believe that love would last forever. Then to recall its depth and passion. yes.
