.
She likes feathers –
leaves of lace,
wings in willows
kissed with grace,
.
trails of moonlight,
velvet strings,
dew-lit grass
and faerie rings.
.
She likes watercolors
in the trees
and lichen stirring
in the breeze
.
and mossy fractals
around lagoons
and gossamer tendrils
in founts and plumes.
.
She likes sea spray
on crystal clear
and Agape in
the atmosphere
.
and deep behind
a filigree shawl
undulations
on the wall.
.
She likes feathers,
leaves of grace,
time on the wing,
a kiss on the face
.
and ribbons dangling
from the mirror
and sweet suggestions
in her ear.

Thank you, Lauren. (Am still chipping away at writer’s block.)
Hugs back to you. 💕

Well, I think your writing is exceptional anyway, but if this is from writer’s block, then I am super jealous. 🙂 More hugs to you! xo

Oh Lauren, you have nothing to be jealous about. It’s you who just published your 3rd book! I’m envious of that. ☺

I know, but it’s the content that I hope others are enjoying. That’s where the insecurity lies. 🙂 And you’ve published before, so maybe that’s something on the horizon again? Hugs to you! ❤️

Lauren, I don’t think you have anything to be insecure about when it comes to content — or anything else. Your writing is inspiring and I hope you’ll publish a sequel — along the same lines.
As for me ever publishing again, probably not — unless it’s a collection of old stuff. ☺
More hugs back to you, dear friend. 💕

Dear Betty,
Such a heartening, happy poem! “Feathers”, with its rhythm and rhyme, sweeps us along as if riding warm summer waves. And its imagery is pure enchantment.
The world seems a brighter place for reading this – thank you!
Take care,
Paul

Greetings, John! You made my day, coming back here for a second read. Thank you, and I hope you had a good Sunday. (It’s still afternoon here, on this sunny Halloween. Frost was on the pumpkin this morning. 😊 )

Beautiful and magical poem dear Betty… You transported me aloft away from all that is dense.. To float like the feather upon the ocean spray .. Wind in my hair and sea salt on the lips, as sweet as that kiss and the whisper in her ear.. ❤
