Another beautiful poem, full of layered meaning. Your grandmother was very talented.

Thank you so much, Mary Ann. I’m so glad you like this!
And yes, my grandma discovered her talent when she was in her 80’s. She lived to be 108, and continued to paint almost to the end. (Good Norwegian genes!)

Beautiful Betty! What a Winter thus far. Second cataract surgery tomorrow. Had the right eye done first and now have 20/25 vision after having worn trifocals for years. I got my first pair of glasses at age 10 so after 59yrs I will only need readers. Hope you are well. Take care.

Renee, I hope your cataract surgery goes well tomorrow! That must be wonderful to regain such clear vision. (I’ve worn glasses since age 8, so can relate. Will be needing cataract surgery too within the next few years….)
You take care also. Wishing you all the best for the new year.

This goes deeper than maybe even you intended. As time itself seems on its way out of this reality. I do believe we will witness it.
Beautiful image, we have been steeped in winter and power outages lately, but I do like coming back to four seasons.
Blessings in this new year! 💓

I believe you’re right about time, Bela. Our perceptions are evolving and we’re becoming more aware that time is an illusion. Subjective, not objective. The eternal now is where it’s at! Hadn’t thought of that when writing this, but you’re right — it fits! 🙂
Glad you’re enjoying the seasons again. Wishing you also many blessings in the new year! ❤

Hi Kim – it’s so good to hear from you! Sorry I’ve been mostly absent from WP for awhile. Health problems plus writer’s block continue…. Have been missing everyone and hoping to get caught up eventually.
Thanks so much for checking in. How have you and your family been? Hopefully staying well?

We are recovering from covid , I’m afraid. It hit us hard. Apart from that, all is well. I hope that your health problems aren’t too significant ….

Really sorry to hear you were hit hard with covid. I hope you all are getting over it completely – or that you will soon. I’ve ended up with long covid (on top of underlying health conditions) and it’s been debilitating. So many people I know have had it bad, in spite of being vaccinated. Please take good care! I’m empathizing with you.

I’m just hoping that we don’t have long covid. I’m sorry you are having to cope with it. A friend was diagnosed in late 2020, and this year she is now able to run her dressmaking business once more— so it does seem to alleviate eventually.

That’s good news, Kim. Hopefully you’ll all be feeling much better soon! (I think age has a lot to do with covid’s longevity. I’m 75 – everything seems to be hitting harder these daze! 🥴 )
