Sunshine through the squall
rainbow arching to the west –
pot of tea, steeping.

Feral cat sleeping
in her bed outside the door –
steam rises from trees.

like honey drops
fall into my tea
as I read the leaves
and know this day

with cinnamon,
stirs the waters
with his fire
and that which had gone still

and that which had gone silent
speaks
and what had been uncertain
rises steaming from her heart.
